About Fine Pine
Martin Zienkiewicz, owner of Fine Pine, a carpenter, painter and builder with 20 years experience.
My career began working in period properties in Central London. For 14 years I carried out interior and exterior restorations, mostly on listed buildings.
I enjoy carpentry and painting the most, but I've worked across multiple trades. All these disciplines and knowledge now live in my work at Fine Pine Norwich, which I started four years

I enjoy carpentry and painting the most, but I've worked across multiple trades. All these disciplines and knowledge now live in my work at Fine Pine Norwich, which I started four years ago. These two trades go hand in hand, and being highly skilled in both is vital for quality results on bespoke carpentry and in refurbishment and decorating.
Some might say this is a “Jack of all trades” approach, but that doesn’t really apply to me. Having a deep knowledge of other trades has made me a great tradesman. A tradesman who understands how processes of building and refurbishment works at different stages, and how they overlap. Using skills from one trade in another has served my clients well. It's this that makes my work standout, and it's this that has made Fine Pine Norwich a success.
While driving my van, I heard an interesting programme on BBC Radio 4, where they discussed the lack of multi-skilled traders in the UK, and the inefficiencies this leads to in the construction industry. I really recommend it.
